The stay
Each villa is private and self-contained: a considered, off-grid retreat for two, set apart on the farm with its own view and its own quiet.
The villas are designed for slowing down. Cook a long breakfast, read the afternoon away, then sink into your very own fire-tub as the sky turns. Everything runs off solar and rainwater, so the only thing you’ll notice is how easy it is to switch off.
The space
Set among vines, Monapilla Escape is an off-grid McLaren Vale stay made for slow days, good wine, and nights gathered around the fire.
There are two private villas here, each with sweeping views across the vineyard and out towards the coast. Inside, it’s warm and grounded: a genuine open fireplace, generous living spaces, soft bedrooms, and a kitchen made for slow breakfasts and late-night cheese situations.
Step outside and the stay really starts showing off. A private balcony for sunset drinks. A wood-fired outdoor tub for soaking under the sky. A campfire for stories, stars, and the kind of conversations that only happen after a bottle of red has been opened.
Then there’s the land itself: free-range eggs from the resident hens, flower gardens, seasonal produce, and paddock-to-plate moments that remind you exactly where you are. McLaren Vale, but with your shoes off and your shoulders finally down.
